Analogue Input Interface Terminal Boards from Triconex - Tricon CX Safety Systems.The TRICON-CX interface solution, AI card reference numbers 3722X and 3723X (32 channels) has IS safety analogue inputs for safety applications requiring SIL 3 level of safety in safety related systems in high risk industries. The solution consists of single/dual channel IS safe isolators suitable for installation in safe or hazardous zones (Zone 2/DIV.2) as well as Zone 0/Div.1 inputs.
Each isolator is mounted on the termination board TBE-D5016-TRI-011 (16 slots), 1XTBE for dual-channel modules and 2XTBE for single-channel modules, and the connection to the TRICON-CX is realised via the system cable ref. 4X00189-5xx. For analogue inputs, a 4-20 mA fluctuation will prove the presence of a line, values below 4 mA or above 20 mA indicate a fault. IS isolators can transparently reflect currents up to 26 mA. values below 3.8 mA or above 21 mA for Namur-compatible transmitters indicate the presence of certain specific faults. Fault values are read by the TRICON-CX AI card.
