TRICONEX 4329 communication module Network Communication Module (NCM).The TRICONEX 4329 is a communication module for Tricon controllers, manufactured by TRICONEX. It provides two BNC connectors as communication ports. It is compatible with IEEE 802.3 electrical interfaces and runs at 10 megabits per second. The NCM is connected to the external mainframe via coaxial cable (RG58) at typical distances up to 607 feet (185 m). Use Repeaters and standard (coarse mesh or fiber) wiring for distances up to 2.5 miles (4,000 m).

The Triconex 4329, also known as NCM4329, is a Network Communications Module (NCM) used in a Tricon controller system. The Tricon Communication Module (TCM) allows a Tricon controller to communicate with various devices such as Modbus devices (masters or slaves), a TriStation PC, a network printer, other Triconex controllers, and other external devices on Ethernet networks.
Each TCM comes with four serial ports, two Ethernet network ports, and one debug port (for Triconex use). It's also compatible with various modules such as Digital Input and Output, Pulse Input, Thermocouple, Relay Output, and Miscellaneous modules.
The Triconex 4329 NCM uses the proprietary Peer-to-Peer protocol, which allows multiple Triconex controllers in a closed network to exchange safety-critical data. The controllers exchange data by using Send and Receive function blocks in their TriStation applications. The controllers can synchronize their time with the master node (the one with the lowest node number) or with an external device, such as a DCS.
