Woodward EGCP-3 Engine Generator Control Kit, Load Sharing (LS) model series, specifically model 8406-113.

The 8406-113 is a microprocessor-based unit designed for use with or in conjunction with other LS units. It has an input voltage of 18-32 V dc and a rated operating temperature range of -20 to +70 °C. The LS models feature a keypad and display interface that includes two backlit LCD screens that allow the user to simultaneously monitor and adjust relevant parameters. These screens display eight lines of status information and a choice of four lines of configuration or alarm log information.

Before use, the 8406-113 must be configured through the First Start menu; these items cannot be edited while the engine is running. For standard operation, the 8406-113 configuration points are available from the front panel display. Additional configuration points (along with the standard configuration points) can be accessed from the Watch Window software via the ServLink communications serial link. The control unit has nine status menus for easy monitoring and troubleshooting. These menus are System Status, Engine Status, Generator Status, Synchronizer Status, KW Load Status, PF/KVAR Status, I/O Status, Sequence Status, and ATS Status (Please note: LS models do not have any transfer switch capability. If the unit is set up with a local system bus connected to the power supply and requires an MC unit to perform the ATS function).

Woodward's EGCP-3 Engine Generator Control Kit also includes other models such as the 8406-114, 8406-120 and 8406-121. 8406-120 is an EGCP-2 Engine Generator Control Kit model for non-hazardous locations only, rated for -20 to +70 °C operating temperature (storage temperature) rated for -40 to +105 °C). This model is designed for use with speed control and automatic voltage regulators for gas or diesel generator sets up to 30,000 kW. 8406-120 can be configured for parallel operation or stand-alone operation. This is a high voltage model designed for small to medium sized generator sets.

The 8406-121 is one of Woodward's complete EGCP-2 microprocessor-based generator control and engine management packages for automating and protecting gas or diesel engine based generator sets. 8406-121 has an input voltage rating of 150-300 Vac PT Input, 9-32 Vdc and an operating temperature rating of -20 to +70 °C. The storage temperature rating is -40 to +105 °C. The unit measures 282 x 358 x 69 mm and includes a front panel with keypad.
