The IS220PTURH1A is a component created by GE for their Mark VI system. The Mark VI is one of the final Speedtronic systems for gas/steam turbine management The Mark VI is one of the final Speedtronic systems for gas/steam turbine management that was released by GE.
The IS220PTURH1A is a main trip package for the main turbine. This kit provides the electrical interface between the turbine control terminal block and one or two Ethernet networks. The output of the pack occurs through a DC-62 pin connector connected to the associated terminal block.
The IS220PTURH1A has a built-in black enclosure with air flow openings. The front of the enclosure has multiple LED indicators, and an IR (infrared port). This port is not used for this package. Inside this enclosure, there is a processor board, a sub board dedicated to turbine control, and an analog acquisition auxiliary board. The pack is mounted on a TTURH1C terminal block. The processor board has two 10/100 Ethernet ports, flash and RAM, a read-only chip for identification, an internal temperature sensor, and a reset circuit.
The IS220PTURH1A allows for automatic reconfiguration and automatic download of I/O packages from the controller. Reconfiguration includes base load, boot load, firmware, and parameters. Auto-reconfiguration must be enabled for this to occur. This is enabled or disabled in the Toolbox ST application through the Component Editor.
