The Bently Nevada 3500/50M is a Tachometer Module used for monitoring and protecting machinery.
The 3500/50M Tachometer Module is a 2-channel module that accepts input from proximity probes or magnetic pickups to determine shaft rotative speed, rotor acceleration, or rotor direction. It compares these measurements against user-programmable alarm setpoints and generates alarms when the setpoints are violated. The module can be programmed using the 3500 Rack Configuration software .
The 3500/50M is part of the Bently Nevada 3500 Series Machinery Monitoring System, which provides continuous, online monitoring for machinery protection and asset condition monitoring applications .
The module can be used for various configuration options, including speed monitoring, setpoint alarming, zero speed notification, rotor acceleration alarming, and reverse rotation notification .
The 3500/50M Tachometer Module is designed to work with the 3500 System Rack, which holds all 3500 monitor modules and rack power supplies, allowing modules to communicate with each other and with the System 1 software. The rack is available in two sizes (standard 19" and 14") and three flexible mounting formats (rack, bulkhead, and panel) .
