The 1701/15 FieldMonitorTM Proximitor8 Input Monitor is a two-channel device that receives signals from proximity probes via its associated Sensor I/0 or intermal Proximitor8 module, conditions these signals to the appropriate units of measurement, compares them to user-programmable alarm setpoints, and generates the appropriate alarm signals for communication with the host control system. It also provides the control system with the current values of measured parameters for indication and trend analysis. The embedded self-test feature allows the monitor to assess the integrity of itself and its connected sensors. When a problem occurs with the monitor or its connected sensors, it can detect and issue a "NOT OK" alarm.(Related products: 1900/25,3500/22M)
1701/15 This monitor is specifically designed for use with radial vibration and thrust position sensors. These types of sensors are commonly used in
rotating machinery such as turbines, fans and compressors to measure the radial vibration and thrust position of the rotor.
1701/15 is equipped with an input for each sensor that allows it to receive signals directly from the sensor. It then processes these signals to determine if the machine is operating within acceptable parameters.
