The Triconex 3008 main processor is a high-reliability processor for safety instrumented systems (SIS) that require fault tolerance, redundancy and safety compliance. The Tricon Model 8110 main chassis accommodates two power modules, three main processors, two batteries, one communications (COM) slot (no hot standby slot), and six logical slots for I/O and communications modules. Each logical slot provides two physical spaces for modules.
TriBus in the 8110 main chassis operates at 25 Mbps when a Model 3008 MP or Model 3009 MP is installed in the system, and at 4 Mbps when a Model 3006 MP or Model 3007 MP is installed in the system.
