TRICONEX 2551 Analog Input Modules TRICON2251

TRICONEX 2551 is an Analog Input Module manufactured by Invensys. It is designed to work with Tricon and Trident programmable logic controllers (PLCs).Tricon's fault tolerance is achieved through a Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) architecture.Tricon provides error-free, uninterrupted control in the event of a component hard failure or transient failure from internal or external sources. From the input module to the main processor to the output module, Tricon's entire design is based on a fully triple architecture.Each I/O module contains circuitry for three separate branches. Each branch on the input module reads process data and passes this information to the respective master processor.The TRICONEX 2551 module has 8 differential analog input channels that can measure voltage, current, or resistance. It has a resolution of 16 bits and a conversion time of 10 ms per channel.The 2551-1 is an external terminator for the 2551 module. It is used to terminate unused channels and provides a ground reference for differential channels.The 2551 module is part of a family of Triconex modules that includes the 2651-1, 2750-2, 2852-1, 3501E, 3601E, 3700A, 3805E, and 8300A. These modules have various input and output configurations and are used for different applications.
