CI867K01 3BSE043660R1 MODBUS TCP is an open industry standard that has been widely disseminated due to its ease of use. It is a request-response protocol that provides services specified by function codes.

MODBUS TCP combines MODBUS RTU with standard Ethernet and common network standard TCP. It is an application layer messaging protocol, located at layer 7 of the OSI model.CI867/TP867 is used for the connection between AC 800M controllers and external Ethernet devices, using Modbus TCP protocol.

The CI867K01 3BSE043660R1 expansion unit contains the CEX-Bus logic, the communication unit and the DC/DC converter which provides the appropriate voltage from a +24 V supply via the CEX-Bus. The Ethernet cable must be connected to the main network via an Ethernet switch.

The CI867 is a dual-channel Ethernet unit; Ch1 supports full duplex at 100 Mbps speed and Ch2 supports half duplex at 10 Mbps speed. Master-slave function is supported.

Each CI867 can use up to 70 slave units and 8 master units (on Ch1 and Ch2).
