The GE / Bently Nevada 3500/42M Series Preamplifier / Seismic Monitor is a four-channel monitor that accepts inputs from proximity and seismic sensors, adjusts the signals to provide a variety of vibration and position measurements, and compares the adjusted signals to user-programmable alarms.

You can use the 3500 rack configuration software to program each channel to perform the following functions: radial vibration, thrust position, differential expansion, eccentricity, REBAM, acceleration, velocity, axis absolute, and circle acceptance area.

The primary purpose of the 3500/42M Preamplifier/Seismic Monitor is to provide mechanical protection by continuously comparing monitoring parameters to configured alarm setpoints to drive alarms. These modules also provide basic machine information to operators and maintenance personnel.
