The HYDRAN 201Ci-1 One-Channel Controller is a remote electronic controller for one H201Ti Intelligent Transmitter. It provides network communication capabilities, as well as a large display for gas levels, alarm contacts, alarm indicators and analog outputs. When ordered together with the H201Ti, this combination is commonly referred to as the HYDRAN 201R Model i.

GE H201CI-1 Basic Information
Component: Electronic unit, housed in a weatherproof enclosure, suitable for outdoor installation.
Application: Monitors one H201Ti intelligent transmitter and serves as an access point for a network of up to 128 H201Ti units connected via a single RS-232 computer communication port (locally or through an optional modem).
Electronic Unit
Display Type: Digital Light-Emitting Diode (LED), 0-1999 ppm.
Standard Analog Output: Non-isolated, configurable via jumpers as 0-1 mA or 4-20 mA (maximum 10 V output), 0-1 V or 0-10 V; 0-2000 ppm scale.
Second Optional Analog Output: Isolated, configurable via jumpers as 0-1 mA, 4-20 mA, 0-1 V or 0-10 V; 1500 V RMS isolation level; 0-2000 ppm scale.
Gas Hi and Hi-Hi Alarms: Repeat alarms for levels, hourly gas trends, and daily gas trends in the H201Ti.
Fault Alarms: Repeat alarms for power failure, communication loss, sensor or other system faults in the H201Ti; in case of system failure, the display is blank and the analog output is set to zero.
Alarm Contacts: Gas Hi, Gas Hi-Hi, Fail SPDT (Form C), 125 VA@250 Vac, 60 W@220 Vdc.
Gas Alarm Indicators: Hi and Hi-Hi illuminated buttons mounted on the door, which lock when an alarm is triggered and turn off when the button is pressed to clear the alarm.
Communications / Networking
Supervisory Link Port: 3000 V opto-isolated supervisory link port, connected with H201Ti; maximum length of 1300 meters (4000 feet); three twisted pairs (AWG #16 or #18) with overall shield required.
RS-485 Communication Port: Standard RS-485 communication port, allowing daisy-chaining of up to 32 H201Ci-1 (or H201Ci-C or H201Ci-4) controllers; maximum total daisy-chain length of 1300 meters (4000 feet); one twisted pair (AWG #16 or #18) with overall shield required.
RS-232 Local Port: Standard RS-232 port (DB-9), allowing serial communication with a local computer (or a remote computer with an optional smart modem); any H201Ti can be accessed through any H201Ci controller.
Supervisory Link Power Supply: A separate isolated DC power supply provides +15 V (impedance protected) for the opto-isolated supervisory link.
Recommendation: All communication cables should be run in flexible or rigid metallic conduits for maximum mechanical and electrical protection.
