ABB 1297400-002 is the intelligent input and output system part of ABB's programmable Logic controller (PLC) system.
It provides a frequency control mode, which is based on the default Settings of the system. In this mode, the speed proportional integral derivative (PID) operates when the generator circuit breaker is off and the utility circuit breaker is on. The unit will operate at the same speed or frequency, regardless of the load it provides, until the load capacity reaches 1297400-002.
When the circuit breaker position causes the speed PID to switch to the frequency control, the speed set point immediately steps to the turbine speed
(frequency) last detected before the frequency control is selected. This allows bump-free transfers between modes.
If the last detected speed is not set at the Rated Speed Set point (synchronous speed), the speed set point slopes to the Rated speed.
