TRICONEX 3009 is an enhanced main processor (UMP) module used in the TRICONEX control system. The TRICONEX system is a high-tolerance programmable and process control technology that provides a triple modular redundancy (TMR) structure, which has three identical sub-circuits, and each sub-circuit performs independent control. The TRICONEX 3009 module is a digital input/output module with the following technical specifications: indication accuracy of ±0.5%, recording accuracy of ±1%, control accuracy of ±0.5%, and a setting range of 0-100%. The module can withstand harsh industrial environments and has a trip time of less than 5 seconds.
The TRICONEX system uses TMR structure, which is an integrated control system with three isolated and parallel working control systems in each independent control system. The system uses a three-to-two logic voting method, which provides highly sophisticated, error-free, and uninterrupted process operation, and does not cause system failure due to a single point of failure.
The TRICONEX 3009 module has several intelligent features, including a high-speed 16-bit A/D converter, automatic program-controlled current source technology, and intelligent power management technology. The Triconex 4351B is a fault-tolerant analog input module that provides high-accuracy, low-noise measurement of dc voltage and current signals. The Triconex EPI3382 is a fault-tolerant Ethernet interface module that provides a high-speed, high-reliability connection between the Triconex system and external devices.
When using the TRICONEX 3009 module, it is essential to ensure that it has an AC power supply. If redundant TCMI communication is expected to be maintained by interrupting the AC power supply, then some arrangements must be made to supply each TCMI module with a different AC power supply or redundant AC power supply .
