The Woodward 9907-1200, as a CPC-II (Current-to-Pressure Converter, Generation II) specifically designed for the servo positioning of single-acting steam turbines, is an enhanced dynamic version of the second-generation current-to-pressure converter. It is suitable for Zone 2 and is specially designed for single-acting operation. It performs outstandingly in the control of steam turbine speed and load. Thanks to its excellent accuracy and resolution, it is particularly useful for positioning the single-acting steam turbine governor valve, which is directly related to the speed and load control of the steam turbine. It is an ideal choice for controlling steam turbine valves and related speed and load.

Product Features
Highly Reliable Redundancy Design: It can be configured to accept redundant pressure demand inputs from one or two (redundant) controllers, and can also receive signals from internal and external redundant oil pressure sensors, ensuring stable operation in critical applications. It supports the connection of two controllers to a single CPC in a redundant master/slave mode, or the application of two CPCs in a dual-redundant mode, simplifying the system and control wiring and enhancing system reliability.
Excellent Adaptability: With a robust design, it features a powerful actuator, corrosion-resistant materials, a unique single-moving rotary valve, and a self-cleaning port design. This enables it to operate normally in harsh environments where dirty or contaminated oil may be present.
Rich Functionality: It has a manual stroke function, allowing users to manually adjust the output pressure (turbine valve position) locally via an internal manual stroke screw. It can also be operated remotely or locally through the computer-based PCI tool. An eleven-point linearization table is built-in to compensate for the non-linearity of valve flow and optimize turbine control. A special "Silt Buster" program can be configured to address the silt build-up problem in slave units during redundant applications.
Convenient Configuration and Monitoring: It can be configured in the factory or on-site through a computer-based service tool. The PCI service tool has a simple operation interface, facilitating users to configure, calibrate, and adjust internal functions and PID control settings. It provides a 4 - 20mA output channel to indicate the control oil pressure level, as well as unit alarm and shutdown relay outputs, enabling the system controller or the plant's DCS to monitor the equipment status.
Product Specifications
Performance Parameters: Accuracy is less than ±0.2% of full range, repeatability is 0.1% of full range, temperature drift is less than ±0.01% of full range per °C, and pressure stability is less than ±2% of the setpoint.
Physical Specifications: The dimensions are approximately (290 x 270 x 270) mm, and the weight without oil is about 25 kg (55 lb). It has a standard mounting method. It is installed on the face with hydraulic ports through four M10 threaded holes (23 mm deep) and can adapt to any mounting attitude.
Environmental Parameters: The operating temperature range is (-40 to +85) °C, and the hydraulic oil supply temperature range is the same. It has good anti-interference and electromagnetic compatibility, meeting the immunity standard of EN61000 - 6 - 2 (2005) and the emission standard of EN61000 - 6 - 4 (2007). It can withstand certain shock and vibration, and the ingress protection rating is IP66.
Electrical Specifications: The input power supply is (18 to 32) V (dc), with a steady-state current of 1.5 A and a peak current of 8 A (100 ms). The analog input signal is isolated (4 to 20) mA (input impedance 250 Ω), the analog output signal is (4 to 20) mA, the maximum external load is 300 Ω, and the accuracy is ±1% of full scale. The discrete input is optically isolated (requiring a 24 V (dc) wetting voltage), the discrete output rating is 1 A @ 30 V (dc), and the service tool port uses a straight-through serial cable for RS - 232 communication.
Hydraulic Specifications: Mineral or synthetic oils can be used. The maximum input supply pressure is 25 bar / 363 psi. The recommended filtration accuracy is (24 to 40) μm, the recommended viscosity is 20 to 100 cSt, the specific gravity is 0.6 to 1.0, and the flow capacity depends on the viscosity and pressure difference. The output pressure range is (0 to 10) bar / (0 to 145) psi. The recommended maximum output pressure is less than 70% of the supply pressure to obtain the best dynamic performance, and the return/drain pressure is at most 2 bar (29 psi).
