Emerson Ovation 5X00497G01 I/O Modules Standard I/O modules consist of electronic modules and personality modules. Compact modules and relay output modules do not contain personality modules. These modules perform the interface between the I/O controller and the field devices.
MAU Media Attachment Unit (MAU) is an alternative name for an Attachment Unit Module, which consists of a combination of electronic and personality modules. This device connects the PCRR card (via AUI cable) to the RNC (via fibre-optic cable) in remote I/O applications. Used in the migration process to connect Ovation controllers to WDPF Q-Line I/O.
