ELAU has become an important part of Schneider Electric automation. The PacDrive™ automation system offers a technical and
economically optimal solution for electronic packaging machines.
PacDrive™ contains an efficient pc-based control, the PacDrive
controller and a digital MC-4 servo drive, which includes power
connection unit, final stage power supply and servo regulator
for each axis (Figure 3-2).
The PacDrive controller is the intelligent head of the system and is the core of the
based industrial PC. the PacDrive controller synchronizes
and coordinates the motion functions of the packaging machine.
An IEC 1131-3 soft PLC was used for the application
previously reserved for standard plc. Individual PLCs or
positioning tasks can be broken down into several parallel tasks.

The MC-4 with a data rate of 4 MBaud sets new values. all internal
axis states can be set via the real-time bus and

In addition to digital and analog inputs and outputs, the PacDrive
controller has 2 serial ports and an Ethernet interface. A
variety of process visualization and control systems can be
connected to the PacDrive™ system via the integrated OPC
interface. Further peripheral components can be connected via the field

DeviceNet and DeviceNet support. built-in interface supports remote access
